Dean C. Andreasen is a Director at Clyde Snow. He was born in Salt Lake City. He attended the University of Utah College of Law, here in Salt Lake City, where he earned several advanced degrees, including his juris doctor (J.D.) and a master of professional accounting.
Mr. Andreasen's primary areas of practice are domestic relations, civil litigation, estate planning, and taxation issues (primarily as they relate to domestic relations, litigation, and estate planning).
In addition to his J.D. and master's degree, Mr. Andreasen is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In addition, he has taught accounting courses at the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, from 1980 to 1986. He has also taught divorce and estate planning classes to other attorneys for their continuing legal education (CLE). Moreover, he is trained as a mediator in the collaborative law process, and was the founding officer of the Collaborative Lawyers of Utah.
Mr. Andreasen has been involved in numerous cases involving domestic disputes, litigation, taxation, and estate planning, at the state, federal, and appellate level. Some of his more memorable cases include: Rudman v. Rudman, Dunn v. Dunn, Estate of Morrissin, and Sigg v. Sigg. For a list of our firm's representative cases, click here.
Mr. Andreasen is admitted to practice in the State of Utah, the U.S. District Court, and the U.S. Tax Court. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Andreasen enjoys water skiing and snow skiing.
