Walter A. Romney Jr. is a Director at Clyde Snow. Walt is a native of Salt Lake City and earned his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law, where he was a William H. Leary scholar.  He majored in economics with a minor in Japanese at the University of Utah, graduating cum laude. Walt was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Walt began his career at the firm shortly after graduation from law school and was elected a director in 2004.  He currently serves on the firm's management committee and is also the hiring liaison for the firm.  He has extensive litigation experience in both complex civil litigation and white collar criminal defense and corporate investigation. He has significant experience in eminent domain/condemnation, construction law, intellectual property, false claims act litigation and other civil litigation.  Walt brings a track record of success, which he enjoyed throughout college and law school, to the firm. He credits his success to hard work, dedication, and loyalty to his clients. His primary areas of practice include:

Walt has litigated numerous high profile cases in Utah, including: Cafe Rio, Inc. v. Costa Azul Holdings, LLC , 2005 WL 2264135 (D. Utah); Forest Meadow Ranch Property Owners Ass'n, L.L.C. v. Pine Meadow Ranch Home Ass'n , 118 P.3d 871 (Utah App. 2005); and Hentsch Henchoz & Cie v. Gubbay , 97 P.3d 718 (Utah 2005).

Walt is also an active member of the Salt Lake City community. He is actively involved in local youth organizations.  Walt is on the Board of Trustees for the Guadalupe Schools located in Salt Lake City and during the 2007-2008 school year will serve as President of the Board of Trustees.  In addition to his involvement in the community, Walt enjoys spending time with his children, and also enjoys hiking, golfing, and fly fishing.
