Salt Lake City Law Firm Clyde Snow & Sessions Plants Trees as Symbol of 60-year Community Commitment

RIVERTON, Utah—Attorneys at Salt Lake City law firm Clyde Snow & Sessions recently swapped out their pens and keyboards for gloves and shovels to plant 60 trees in commemoration of the firm's 60th anniversary.

In collaboration with Tree Utah, a non-profit organization, attorneys and their families gathered under a cloudy October sky to participate in a restoration project at Riverbend Nature Park in Riverton, Utah. Volunteers ranging from shareholder to youngster braved mud and rock to plant 60 trees south of the Riverbend Golf Course in commemoration of Clyde Snow's 60th anniversary.

Although the terrain at times halted the project and nearly claimed more than one shoe, Clyde Snow's volunteers successfully completed the planting, leaving a living legacy for future generations to enjoy.

"We always strive to do our best work no matter what the circumstances," said Clyde Snow Vice President Steven E. Clyde. "We are a second-generation law firm and are here for the long haul. We're growing, hoping to become a greater community fixture and provide excellent legal representation for generations to come. Planting these trees helps symbolize that commitment to our community."

In its 60th year, Clyde Snow has grown to encompass the expertise of nearly 30 attorneys, the largest it has historically been. New practice areas added this year include bankruptcy and state tax, but the firm has also expanded its Business & Transactions Practice and Government Investigations & White Collar Criminal Defense Practice as well with the addition of four attorneys: Brent R. Baker, D. Loren Washburn, Kurt O. Hawes, and Kevin A. Turney.

Clyde Snow's tree planting project is not only reflective of the firm's growth, strength, and stability over the years; it is also a tribute to founder Edward C. Clyde's legacy as the firm's founder as well as his penchant for the outdoors and commitment to preservation of Utah's natural heritage.

Originally founded by Ed Clyde in the early 1950s as a water law practice, the firm quickly became known as Utah's premier resource for water law matters. Throughout the following decades, Ed Clyde's firm underwent several changes in name and personnel, gathering additional practice areas and experts along the way. Now, the firm has evolved into a growing, full-service one providing legal representation for individual, corporate, and municipal clients in a variety of industries.
