Clyde Snow Announces Sponsorship of Fraud College 2012

Salt Lake City (January 30, 2012) - Clyde Snow & Sessions is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the 2012 Fraud College Conference to be held Feb. 15, 2012 at the University of Utah.
Brent Baker, white collar defense attorney at Clyde Snow and co-founder of the event, said everyone in Utah should take advantage of this opportunity to learn from the experts.

Utah has become known as a haven for fraud, particularly "Affinity Fraud." In 2010 law enforcement officials in Utah investigated a variety of major cases of investment fraud where thousands of people lost more than $1.4 billion. Due to these astounding statistics, a variety of state and federal agencies are attempting to make the community aware of the investment fraud that takes place all around them. The trend continued into 2011 where statistical evidence indicated that reported cases of fraud were up between 30-40 percent from the prior year. In December the press reported several large affinity fraud cases with alleged losses totaling approximately $25 million.
