Ms. Marcy has enjoyed over 25 years of practicing law in the public and private sectors. She represents many different clients, from individuals to businesses, who seek her help with commercial litigation, insurance defense, labor and employment, including human resources, and creditors’ rights.
Ms. Marcy actively participates in the Defense Research Institute ("DRI"). She belongs to the management committee of DRI's Women in the Law ("WITL"). She presented at the WITL's annual meeting in 2015 and participated in the WITL's inaugural international meeting.
Ms. Marcy moderated one of three “blockbuster series” at DRI's 2011 national session which included U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, President Bill Clinton, and Professor/author Thomas Mauet. She is a Program Director for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy ("NITA"). As a faculty member, she teaches deposition, trial advocacy, and advanced negotiation skills at NITA's national and regional sessions and in-house programs.
Prior to joining Clyde Snow, Ms. Marcy ran her own trial and litigation practice, worked in a small firm and at the prosecutor’s office, City of Sandy, Utah. She has appeared in Utah Federal District Court, Utah State Courts, the Utah Anti-Discrimination Division, the Utah Court of Appeals, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Kentucky and West Virginia state courts. Ms. Marcy has lobbied the Utah legislature on behalf of the hospitality industry and the March of Dimes. She has published for the DRI, American Bar Association ("ABA") and Thomson-Reuters.
