Ms. Marcy is a director and shareholder of the firm and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. She has enjoyed over 30 years of practicing law in both public and private sectors. She focuses her practice on management-side labor and employment law, business dispute litigation, creditors’ rights, and hospitality law.
Ms. Marcy is an active participant with the Defense Research Institute (“DRI”). In 2011, Ms. Marcy moderated one of three “blockbuster series” at DRI’s National Session which included notable speakers U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, President Bill Clinton, and professor/author Thomas Mauet. Ms. Marcy is also on the management committee of DRI’s Women in the Law (“WITL”) section. In 2015, Ms. Marcy presented at WITL’s annual meeting, and participated in WITL’s inaugural international meeting.
Ms. Marcy is a Program Director for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (“NITA”). As a faculty member, she teaches deposition, trial advocacy, and advanced negotiation skills at NITA’s national and regional sessions, and in-house programs.
Ms. Marcy has extensive trial experience and has appeared in various legal venues including Utah state and federal courts, the Utah Court of Appeals, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Utah Anti-Discrimination Division, and Kentucky and West Virginia state courts.
Ms. Marcy has lobbied the Utah legislature on behalf of the hospitality industry and the March of Dimes. She is a published author with works appearing in publications by DRI, the American Bar Association, and Thomson-Reuters. Prior to joining Clyde Snow, Ms. Marcy ran her own trial and litigation practice, and worked with the Sandy City prosecutor’s office.
