SALT LAKE CITY - Governor Gary Herbert announced at the Utah Water Summit today the formation of the State Water Plan Advisory Team. Attorney Steven Clyde has been appointed to the team, which is tasked to develop a set of recommended water management strategies to be considered as part of a 50-year water plan that will provide adequate water supplies while minimizing cost and protecting the environment. Team members are from across the state and represent a variety of water-related interests.
Mr. Clyde is Chair of the Natural Resources and Water Law Practice Group at Clyde Snow, and general counsel to the Central Utah Water Conservancy District. He has served on the Utah Legislature’s Water Task Force and on the Executive’s Water Task Force since 2007 to revise Utah’s water laws. Best Lawyers in America named him Best Water Lawyer of the Year in 2011 and 2012 as well as being named to Mountain States Super Lawyers 2013 Top 100.
