Salt Lake City, Utah (November 21, 2017) – Rodney G. Snow, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Clyde Snow & Sessions, was awarded the Pro Bono Service of the Year Award at the Utah State Bar 2017 Fall Forum along with Robert O. Rice. This award recognizes Mr. Snow’s key role and contributions in establishing and organizing the Utah State Bar Pro Bono Commission. The Pro Bono Commission has implemented pro bono programs across the State of Utah to provide legal services for low income and underrepresented members of the community.
“I am humbled to receive this award and have been fortunate to work with many wonderful people to make a positive impact throughout our communities,” said Mr. Snow. “I am proud of the dedication and commitment of my colleagues and the Committee to provide high-quality legal assistance to those in need. Providing legal services to the poor is one of the most important professional obligations of all attorneys,” Snow said.
The 2017 Pro Bono Service of the Year Award was presented to both Mr. Snow, a Past President of the Utah State Bar, and attorney Robert O. Rice, the former Chair of the Pro Bono Committee and a Past President of the Utah State Bar. Messrs. Snow and Rice launched the Pro Bono Project to ensure access to pro bono legal services across the State of Utah.
Mr. Snow is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation. In 2014, Mr. Snow received the Lifetime Service Award from the Utah State Bar. In 2009, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Federal Bar Association, Utah Chapter. Mr. Snow’s practice focuses in the areas of white collar crime and government and independent investigations. He represents corporate clients and officers in grand jury investigations and before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, and also serves as a mediator and arbitrator for select cases.
