Named among Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite in business litigation and recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers, Mr. Lebenta has fifteen years of experience in civil litigation, appellate work, and defense of government enforcement actions, including actions affecting professional licensure. His civil litigation practice currently focuses on representing clients in state, federal, and appellate courts in business and commercial disputes, real property and water rights matters including right-of-way and interference claims, contract disputes, corporate governance disputes, and private actions for securities fraud and other securities violations. In his government enforcement practice, Mr. Lebenta defends clients in white collar criminal proceedings and civil proceedings involving regulatory violations and licensing disputes commenced by state and federal government agencies, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Utah Department of Professional Licensing, and prosecution offices.
Mr. Lebenta has achieved numerous favorable resolutions for his clients through settlement, by winning judgment in his clients’ favor at the trial court level, and by defending judgments or reversing an adverse judgment on appeal. Prior to joining Clyde Snow, Mr. Lebenta served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Pamela Greenwood for the Utah Court of Appeals.
